QUESTION:

Is PR-Tracker a file-server application or a client-server application?

ANSWER:

Both. We have designed PR-Tracker so that it may be configured to run in either file-server mode or client-server mode.

When using PR-Tracker in file-server mode any computer with Windows 95 or above can act as the database server. In this way, PR-Tracker can provide a low cost solution where tight security is not an issue. For better security and better performance over a slow network connection, user PR-Tracker in client-server mode. Client-server mode requires that the computer acting as the PR-Tracker server be either Windows NT Server (with option pack) or Windows 2000 Server or above.
