QUESTION:

When I try and connect to our webserver using PR-Tracker Web Client I get the message

"PR-Tracker was unable to connect to the internet."

I am connecting using https: and our security certificate on this server has expired and the site name is different. Hence, when we access the site via a browser, there is a screen asking if you want to continue before the login screen is displayed. Would this cause the authentication problem? The PR-Tracker Web Client connection screen shows a very brief "connected" status before giving the "Error" status with error screen.

ANSWER:

If you security certificate has expired, the normal behavior for PR-Tracker connecting with https is that it is unable to connect. I recommend modifying the setting for the virtual directory hosting prtracker.asp so that https is not required to connect. After you have renewed your certificate you can change it back.
