QUESTION

Question: Is it possible to move some of the problem reports from one database to a new database without altering their current report numbers?

Example of what we want to do: Project Test_1 has 500 problems in it. Could we move/copy problems 401 through 500 into project Test_2, and still have them be numbered 401 through 500? This would mean that the first
problem in Test_2 would be numbered 401, rather than 1. Any ideas you have on this would be appreciated.

ANSWER

1) Create the new project.

2) Copy all problems from one project to the new project.

3) Delete the PR files for the problem reports that you don't want

4) Run the database repair utility on that project.
