I receive the error message below when attempting to run any reports.

Error 429: ActiveX component can't create object
Run Report 4.40.0016
Reports:OpenReport runreport

During installation, a dialogue box displays "cannot register CRAXDRT.DLL". I have confirmed that this DLL exists in correct directory and is the latest version.

The 429 error is occuring because CRAXDRT.DLL is not registered. Failure to register CRAXDRT.DLL probably means that there is too much data stored in the SharedDLLs registry key on your computer. Some applications over use this registry key and break other applications by doing so.

See http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q217/1/65.ASP. It will instruct you on whether or not the registry key is too big and give you instructions for fixing it. When you discover which application is over using the SharedDLLs registry key, you may want to alert your systems administrator because the application is probably breaking applications on other computers in the company.
