QUESTION:

When converting a database from Access to SQL Server I get the following errors:

Error 9040: An error occured while changing the database provider.

Error -2147467259: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (ParseConnectParams()).]Invalid connection.
SqlServerInstance=DAX\MSSQLServer

PrtrackerInterface:InitNewProviderDatabase ProjectDb.CreateDb Microsoft OLE DB Provider
for SQL Server 5.10.0057

ANSWER:

On the server the PRTRACK.DLL should be configured to run in component services with user identity prtracker. This error occurs if the user prtracker doesn't have privilege to create a SQL Server database. The user prtracker should be an administrator for the server or configured in SQL Server with Administrative privileges.
